About the Competition
Established in 1995, the Colorado Prize for Poetry is an esteemed contest that seeks to recognize exceptional poetry manuscripts. The competition is open in both theme and style, allowing poets creative freedom to showcase their unique voices and perspectives.
Submission Guidelines
Length: Manuscripts must be between 48 and 100 pages, composed of any number of poems.
Publication Status: Individual poems may have been previously published, but the manuscript as a whole must be unpublished.
Eligibility: Open to all poets aged 18 or older, except for Colorado State University students, alumni, and employees.
Prize
The winner will receive a $2,500 honorarium and have their book published by the Center for Literary Publishing
Entry Fee
Fee: A $28 submission fee is required, which includes a one-year subscription to Colorado Review.
