SEGD Global Design Awards 2025 Open for Submissions

The SEGD Global Design Awards return for 2025, inviting submissions for another edition of this renowned competition.

Celebrating Innovation in Experience Design

These awards recognize designers and firms whose work pushes the boundaries of experience design, enriching lives across diverse backgrounds and abilities. Winning projects have spanned accessible museum exhibits, intricate airport wayfinding systems, impactful social justice memorials, and immersive branded environments.

Categories Highlighting Key Areas of Experiential Design

The competition features seven categories that showcase diverse facets of experiential design:

• Branded Environments — Spaces that reflect an organization’s brand identity through graphic elements.

• Digital Experiences — Technology-driven interactions enhancing visitor connections to place.

• Exhibition — Informative displays using graphics, objects, or media to educate and engage.

• Placemaking — Projects fostering connections between people and spaces using graphics, text, or media.

• Public Installation — Artistic and design projects that enrich public spaces with meaning and context.

• Strategy/Research/Planning — Documents such as masterplans, strategy guides, or research publications.

• Wayfinding — Systems guiding people through environments while enriching spatial understanding.

  
  

Eligibility and Recognition

Projects must have been completed between January 1, 2022, and December 31, 2024. Student projects must have been completed in 2023 or 2024 by full-time students.

Winners will be announced and honored from November 13–15, 2025, at the SEGD Conference in San Francisco, California.

Since 1987, the SEGD Global Design Awards have set a benchmark for excellence in experiential design, celebrating work that connects people to place.

SEGD Global Design Awards 2025 — Fees

• SEGD Student Members: Free ($0/entry)

• Student Non-members: $50/entry

• SEGD Members: $325/entry (3+ entries at $250/entry)

• Non-members: $650/entry

  
  

• Late fees: $100 (entries submitted February 1–28, 2025) or $150 (March 1–15, 2025).

Entry fees for 2025 are subject to confirmation but are expected to remain consistent with the previous year.
