Magma Poetry Competition 2024/25

Magma Poetry Competition 2024/25 invites poets worldwide to submit their work to a celebrated annual competition hosted by the UK-based Magma Poetry magazine.

Categories:

• Judge’s Prize: Poems of 11-50 lines (judged by poet Amy Acre)

• Editors’ Prize: Short poems up to 10 lines

  
  

Eligibility:

• Open to all; previously unpublished poems only

  
  

Prizes

• First Prize: £1000

• Second Prize: £300

• Third Prize: £150

• Additional Honors: Five special mentions in each category

  
  

• Publication: All winning and commended poems in Magma magazine and online

• Event: Winners invited to a reading event in Spring 2025

  
  

Entry Fees

• £5 for the first poem, £4 for the second, and £3.50 for each additional poem.
