ON PAPER International Printmaking Contest 2024

Tinta Invisible Editions proudly announces the ON PAPER International Printmaking Contest 2024, an annual event dedicated to celebrating and promoting printmaking while fostering connections among printmakers worldwide. This prestigious contest invites artists to showcase their creativity and unique style in printmaking.

Overview

Now in its 10th year, the ON PAPER International Printmaking Contest is open for entries! The contest encourages artists to explore the art of printmaking through a variety of traditional and innovative techniques, aiming to enhance and recognize creativity within the printmaking community.

Entry Guidelines

• Submission: Each artist may submit one piece of work on paper sized 30 x 40 cm, with the print fitting within these dimensions.

  
  

• Theme: Open; no specific theme is required.

  
  

• Techniques: Accepted techniques include silkscreen, lithography, etching, gouge (direct), additive, monotype, electro-etching, woodcut, photoengraving, and digital giclée. Digital methods may be used in creating the matrix, but final prints must be traditional—digital prints (made directly with a printer) are not allowed.

  
  

• Originality: Submissions must be original, never publicly exhibited or previously awarded. Entries must be created in the past two years and have an edition limit of 50 copies. Previous ON PAPER winners are not eligible to enter.

  
  

Jury and Exhibition

An international jury will select 10-15 finalist prints, with the top-voted piece winning the grand prize. Finalists' works will be exhibited at Tinta Invisible’s exhibition space, accompanied by a published catalogue.

Submission Requirements

• Artists may submit a single work measuring up to 50 x 70 cm or a combined total dimension of 120 cm.

• Submissions must be signed and numbered.

  
  

Eligibility

Open to all artists over 18 who work within the visual arts and utilize printmaking techniques. Artists of all nationalities are welcome to participate.

Prize

The winning artist will receive a prize of 1,000 Euros (taxes included).

Entry Fee

A 30€ fee is required for registration and administrative costs.
