Artists working at the intersection of art and technology, it’s time to showcase your finest creations! The Lumen Prize is now accepting submissions for its 2025 global competition, celebrating groundbreaking digital and tech-driven art.
About the Lumen Prize
The Lumen Prize is a prestigious international award dedicated to recognizing exceptional art created with technology. Since its inception in 2012, the competition has awarded over $100,000 in prizes and provided global exposure to countless artists. Organized by Lumen Art Projects, a non-profit organization, the prize is funded through year-round fundraising efforts to support awards and operational costs.
Competition Highlights
Nine Categories: Each category offers a $2,000 prize.
Finalists: 50-75 artists will be shortlisted, with their work reviewed by an esteemed Jury Panel.
Gold Award: One exceptional artist will be named the Gold Award Winner, receiving $12,000 for the best work across all categories.

2025 Competition Categories
Still Image ($2,000): Fixed digital artworks, including photography, digital painting, illustration, and AI-generated imagery.
Moving Image ($2,000): Time-based works such as film, video art, and animation.
Performance & Music ($2,000): Live or recorded works blending digital technology with performance, dance, sound, and music.
Fashion & Design ($2,000): Innovative creations in fashion, architecture, and product design utilizing digital processes.
Hybrid (Digital/Physical) ($2,000): Artworks that bridge the digital and physical realms.
Experiential ($2,000): Interactive and immersive works, including XR, installations, environments, and light art.
Literature & Poetry ($2,000): Explorations of language and text through digital mediums.
Nature & Climate ($2,000): Works addressing environmental themes and humanity’s relationship with nature.
Identity & Culture ($2,000): Art exploring personal and collective identity, heritage, and cultural exchange.
Entry Fees
Early Bird (31 January 2025 – 28 February 2025): $30 per submission
Standard (1 March 2025 – 23 May 2025): $40 per submission
