Overview:
The International Silent Book Contest 2025 invites illustrators worldwide to submit new, wordless illustrated book projects. This competition highlights the universal language of imagery, encouraging artists to craft compelling visual narratives accessible to readers of any age and background.
Submission Guidelines:
Content: Projects must tell a story exclusively through illustrations, without text.
Theme: Open to any subject.
Entry: Participants may submit 1 to 3 unpublished projects.
Format: Complete layout as a high-quality PDF file.
Judging and Exhibition:
Selection: An international jury will choose 10โ16 finalist projects by February-March 2025.
Exhibition: Finalists will be showcased at the Bologna Childrenโs Book Fair (March-April 2025).
Award Ceremony: Held at the Salone Internazionale del Libro in Turin, 2025.
Prize:
Publication by Carthusia Edizioni
3,000โฌ cash prize as an advance on royalties
Formal publishing contract
