Any photograph from any country, first published or produced between March 2024 and March 2025, is eligible to compete.

This provides incredible exposure for the creators of these remarkable works. A comprehensive index with contact details of the featured photographers will be included, offering a valuable resource for art directors, designers, and art buyers.

Awards and Recognition:
Each winner will receive a personalized Award of Excellence, with certificates also issued for firms, individuals, and clients. The Award of Excellence is one of the most sought-after honors in the industry, placing winners among the top professionals in the field.

Competition Categories:

• Advertising: ads, posters, music and product packaging, etc.

• Books: covers, jackets, interiors, etc.

• Editorial: magazines, newspapers, etc.

• For Sale: posters, prints, greeting cards, gallery sales, etc.

• Institutional: company publications, annual reports, websites, etc.

• Motion/Cinematography: time-based media for film, TV, web, etc.

• Self-Promotion: promotional work for photographers, agencies, schools, etc.

• Unpublished: experimental or personal work not published.

• Student Work: school assignments in photography or cinematography.

For over 66 years, Communication Arts has celebrated the exceptional work of photographers worldwide. In support of these artists, AI-generated text-to-image submissions will not be accepted for the 2025 competition.

Entry Fees:

• $40 for a single print entry / $80 for a print series

• $90 for a single video entry / $180 for a video series

• $20 for a single student print entry / $40 for a student print series

• $45 for a single student video entry / $90 for a student video series

Entries submitted after March 7, 2025, will incur a $10 late fee per entry.
