Use Amazon Q Developer, a generative AI-powered assistant, to speed up game development. Incorporate additional AWS services like AWS Amplify Hosting for web-based games, Amazon S3 for asset storage, Amazon DynamoDB for game data, or Amazon Bedrock for generative AI capabilities. This is your chance to explore AWS technology in game building!

What to Build

Participants must use Amazon Q Developer to streamline development and include at least one additional AWS service in their game.

What to Submit

Your submission should include:

• A text description detailing how Amazon Q Developer and other AWS services were used, along with game features, functionality, and purpose.

  • A URL to your public code repository for judging and testing.

• Optional:

  • Feedback on building with AWS (multiple entries are allowed for different services).

  • A blog post on community.aws tagged as “game-challenge.”

  • A demonstration video (under 3 minutes) showing gameplay interaction, uploaded to YouTube or Vimeo with a link provided in your submission.

A total of $150,000 in prizes will be awarded, with opportunities to win in various categories:

• Runner-Up Best Game: $10,000

• Bonus Blog Post (first 350 eligible): $100 per post
