18th Fest Anča International Animation Festival 2025

The Fest Anča International Animation Festival, Slovakia’s only Academy Awards® Qualifying Festival, invites submissions for its 2025 competition program. The festival accepts short animated films and animated music videos completed after January 1, 2023 with English subtitles.

Awards & Prizes

A total of €6,000 will be awarded, with Anča Awards available in the following categories:

• Best Animated Short (€1,500)

• Best Student Animated Short (€1,000)

• Best Animated Music Video (€1,000)

• Best Animated Short for Children (€1,000)

• Best Slovak Animated Short (€1,500)

Award winners in select categories may also be eligible for the Oscars® in the short film category.

Festival Focus

The festival, primarily aimed at a mature audience, promotes animated films as an independent art form, showcasing various types and styles. The 18th Fest Anča International Animation Festival will take place in Žilina, Slovakia, from June 24 – June 29, 2025.

Submission Deadlines & Fees

• Earlybird (Free): Until November 30, 2024

• Standard (€5 per film): December 1 – December 31, 2024

• Late (€10 per film): January 1 – January 31, 2025
